Texas is known for many things... Cowboy culture, rodeos, barbecue, Southwestern cuisine, cattle, and periodic episodes of drought.
The release of the self-titled album by Texas artist Harvest signals a period of mass abundance for the CHH scene in the Lone Star State. With a powerful blend of Hip-Hop, soul, Gospel, and R&B Harvest has crafted a beautifully constructed project that will encourage followers of Christ, present the Gospel to non-believers, and accomplish those goals with style and grace.
From the opening moments of the album, Harvest demonstrates remarkable versatility with a dynamic range of talents that include both singing and rapping, managing both feats extremely well. Her charisma doesn't stop at her musical ability either. She runs a record label called Harvestegy Music with a roster of talented artists and was able to coordinate an impressive list of features for the album including Danyelle Speak, MsChozen, Big G Shine, Adrion Butler, Bertrand McKinney, The Radical1ne, Brittannee Haralson, Jaye Yo’el Judah, Marcus, Yvng 7, Da Hypeman, J. Jareb, & Freddrick HalleluYAH!!!
CHH is emerging as a growing genre but certain artists stand out by offering music that will help you grow in your faith. Harvest seems intent on setting herself apart from the crowd by producing a musical canvas that will facilitate a posture of worship, reverence, and celebration for the Savior of the world.
You can pass this project up, but if you do, it will be your loss.
