It has been TOO long family...

This past Spring life happened. Orlando was dealing with family matters and had to step back for a while. Naturally, I told him not to worry about it because we would keep pushing forward.

I should have known better than to assume my plans are a sure-shot. Lord, please forgive me. Shortly after that conversation things went a little wild for me for several months. Work stuff. Family stuff. Faith stuff. Stuff stuff.

The next thing I knew months had past without me doing much more than appearing on the WAR ROOM with Will... and even that was hit and miss.

Along the way, other contributors to the site sort of fell off as well. It happens. I don't blame anyone. How can I expect anyone else to stay up when I can't even consistently get things written?

All that to say, it finally feels like it's time to start building again... Lord willing. So, what did we miss? SO MUCH! There's NO way I'll catch it all here but I wanna at least mention some highlights.

The Summer kicked off with some exciting releases including former BEC & Save The City Records artist B. Hue (formerly Benjiman) crafting his first truly independent release Captive. This project feels every bit as polished and professional as his previous outings but with a MUCH more personal touch this time. B. Hue is still out here proclaiming the love of God but staying true to the artistic vision the Lord has given him.

LOJ Prodical put out a MASSIVE album called Lockstep with literally 28 tracks on it. In a culture that has increasingly emphasized short attention spans, it's refreshing to see an artist with that type of work ethic. LOJ is holding down the West coast with that fresh but nostalgic Bay Area sound with a twist of Moses Lake flavor.

Rocky Valley and Zak1 dropped an EPIC project together called Chronicles From Tha Curb. Go check it out!

We gave BOTH Playlists a fresh new makeover. The WAR ROOM Playlist on Spotify only has 8 saves which means thousands of people are missing out on the dopest playlist on the whole platform. Help us fix that by saving it and sharing with someone you care about.

Our bro Bertrand McKinney is working on the re-release of his pulled project Mental Impact, as well as a follow-up project entitled J.A.Y. to honor his late nephew who tragically passed away. He already released his latest single titled 365 featuring Junah Sparrow!

On August 1 Kidd Rose shook the airwaves in PDX with his release Rose From The Dead. Never one to slack, he brought a whole lot of impressive features to compliment his impressive artistic abilities.

Ya boy eCsiLe has a new project in the works titled "Turning Over Tables" that will channel the energy of the Old Testament prophets to deal with some issues in the Church and life that often get overlooked. If ya just can't wait though ProphetiQ and 2sane both have recent releases featuring eCs.

Also, Word Rat just dropped a poignant and heartfelt EP that deals with and ministers to those experiencing pain and suffering and depression. It's well worth a listen and will probably resonate with all of us in some way.

You also don't wanna miss the new CHH JAMZ For Breakfast show hosted by Orlando every morning on the station!!!

That's literally just a surface level overview of the things happening in the CHH underground. If you want to read more great articles from the JAMZ Collective please like & comment on this article, share it, and let us know if you wanna contribute to the blog.

Blessings in Christ name!
