More Than Just A Publication…

The first two editions of CHH Jamz Magazine

Hello, My name is Micheal Smejkal or a.k.a. Smudge D, Christian hip-hop artist , podcast host of “Faith From Flames”, and head of “Higher Power Ent. God’s Label Ministries.

Our label and Ministry had hit tragedy and disaster in more ways than one and even taking one of our top ministers off of his legs with cancer. I ended up taking a 3 month sabbatical I’m taking time to reflect deeply on the previous five years of Ministry. All the tragedy had really taken a toll on me.

I took this sabbatical to the war room and prayed wholeheartedly each day on the vision that God wanted me to have for this ministry and the future of the artist and ministers I am working with.

One day, I was caught off guard by a call from Orlando page, I had known him for quite a while now through the Movement Underground 9.0 one of my deepest inspirations and also other people in the industry. I knew he had this amazing radio station CHH JAMZ Collective, and had it for quite some time now uplifting and inspiring Christian and gospel artists around the world.

Orlando had an idea about turning the station into a magazine. I already had visions of a magazine in my thoughts for years now, so I was pretty blown away by what he was telling me. I remember asking Orlando, but why me? And he said well, why not you? I said, fair enough and was already excited to be invited as part of this inspired radio station.

So we started CHH JAMZ MAGAZINE, and released the first paper copy on December 1, 2025!!!!

This magazine serves as a vibrant platform dedicated to showcasing and uplifting a diverse range of voices, including musicians, writers, and artists who embody the heart and teachings of Jesus Christ. Through carefully curated articles, interviews, and features, the magazine seeks to illuminate the transformative power of faith in creative expression.
