Obedience is one of the most misunderstood words in the Christian life. For many, it carries the weight of pressure, performance, or fear. Something demanded rather than desired. We hear it and instinctively brace ourselves, as if God is about to take something from us but Scripture tells a different story. Biblical obedience is not God tightening His grip on our lives.
