Are you prepared for the MENTAL IMPACT this album will have?

The long awaited re-release of MENTAL IMPACT by Bertrand McKinney has arrived! Some of us were lucky enough to have purchased the original version and didn't miss out on anything in the interim... For everyone else, you now have a chance once again to enjoy this classic album.

The album starts out with a love letter to God in "Why I Love You So"... laying bear many of his struggles and experiences, McKinney recounts how God was there all along protecting him. The album begins with a very reflective and introspective feel, showcasing beautiful tracks like "YOUR MY EVERYTHING" featuring a delicately smooth hook by Jae Danielle. Harvest provides a handy assist on "THAT'S WHAT YOU ARE" which takes the album in a slightly more upbeat direction with a sort of bouncy beat.

As the album builds, Berty provides some hard hitting anthems including "STAND ON BUSINESS" and perhaps my personal favorite "SHAKE BACK" featuring his label mates Komplete and Mookie U-Nik. The hits keep coming through the entire 12 track project including appearances by Mr. C.H.U.R.C.H. and Lady T.
