The debate has been going on for a while. What's the best way to release music as an artist? Should new artists only drop singles? Should they drop entire projects? Here's my opinion on the matter:

MAKE ART. That's it.

Do what you feel led to do. In my own music, I release a mix of singles and albums. Most singles seem to lead into albums. For some artists who (I've seen reach great numbers) it has been singles with consistent content releases.

I think it also depends on what you're going for. I believe projects help develop a core audience, while resulting in less pop. Your supporters, however large, will be hyped by projects, so they are bound to tune in.

However, singles tend to allow you to reach more new ears because they require less commitment from listeners when it comes to listening to a single versus an album.

The most important thing is to let God guide and inspire your music regardless of how you format it. Let's continue to make great music that reaches who it needs to reach. These are thoughts to consider when considering how you want to release music.
