Referencing his own experience in coming to know Christ. A.P.83 hits the nail on the head when he contrasts faith and works, reminding the listener that "All glory belongs to Yahweh!"

Perhaps more poignant is a line in the second verse where the artist insightfully points out that it is not for us to defeat Satan, but to be obedient to great commission. Sure, we're called to to resist the enemy and we're certainly engaged in spiritual warfare, but we don't need to take the burden on of winning the victory, because we can't. Fortunately, we have someone who already has.

2 Thessalonians 3:3: says “But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.” I'm not sure if A.P.83 had that specific passage of scripture in mind when he wrote this song but he captured the essence of it regardless.
